HEATHER MCCORNACK
FHCC Collaborative Pianist
Heather has accompanied the FHCC Konza Choir since it began in 2015. She is also the collaborative pianist for the Kansas State University choirs. Heather holds a BM in voice performance from the University of WI-Eau Claire and a MM in voice performance with an emphasis in pedagogy from Kansas State University. She studies and practices trauma informed voice care in her private voice studio in Manhattan. Some of her teaching practices were recently published in “Trauma and the Voice. A Guide for Singers, Teachers, and Other Practitioners,” edited by Emily Jaworski Koriath. She serves on the board of directors at the Manhattan Arts Center where she is also a music director. She has performed on stage in musical theatre productions throughout the midwest and northern California. Heather is a registered yoga teacher with specific training in yoga for singers, for people in eating disorder recovery, and for people in trauma recovery. Find her on instagram at BodyBreathVoice.
